Beneath London, something ancient stirs.
When a mutilated body is found at Moorgate Station, D.I. Waller is called in to investigate. The victim is a homeless man and bears signs of animalistic violence, but there's no clear point of entry. CCTV footage reveals nothing but static and shadows. With help from the young and curious PC Best, Waller descends into a tangled web of history, madness, and something far older than the city itself.
As more bodies surface, always near disused tunnels and forgotten platforms.. graffiti begins to appear: cryptic symbols and the name The Red King. Waller dismisses it as delusion, urban myth. Best isn’t so sure. A former colleague whispers warnings. A survivor speaks in riddles. The deeper they dig, the less the rules of the waking world seem to apply.
The tunnels are dark, the tracks are stained and The Red King is watching.
Part police procedural, part slasher horror, The Red King is a slow-burn descent into paranoia, urban decay, and the hidden horrors that fester in the forgotten arteries of London.
